Section 01
Who we are
DreamCraft Projects Pty Ltd (ABN 28 684 036 888) trades as DreamCraft Projects. We are a licensed builder operating across NSW, QLD, VIC, delivering insurance repairs, emergency response, and new construction services.
This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set out in that Act.
Section 02
Information we collect
We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to deliver our services. The types of information we typically handle include:
- Contact details (name, phone, email, postal and site addresses)
- Property and claim details (insurer name, claim or job reference numbers, scope of works, photographs of damage)
- Identification details required to verify you are the property owner, occupier, or authorised representative
- Payment and billing information (sent to and processed by our accounting provider; we do not store card numbers)
- Information you provide in enquiry forms, callback requests, phone calls, emails, and on-site conversations
- Limited technical data when you use our website (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected by our hosting provider for security and analytics
Section 03
How we collect it
We collect information directly from you wherever possible — through phone calls, enquiry forms, emails, written quotes, contracts, and on-site meetings. In the course of an insurance repair we may also receive information about you from your insurer, broker, or loss adjuster, who has obtained it lawfully from you in connection with your claim.
Section 04
Why we use it
We use personal information only for the purposes you would reasonably expect, including:
- Quoting, scoping, and delivering building works on your property
- Coordinating with insurers, brokers, and loss adjusters on insurance claim repairs
- Sending you correspondence, contracts, variations, invoices, and statutory notices
- Engaging qualified subcontractors, surveyors, certifiers, and suppliers needed to complete the work
- Complying with our obligations under Australian building, work-health-and-safety, tax, and consumer-protection laws
- Improving our website, services, and customer communications
Section 05
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only where required to deliver a service you have engaged us for, or where required by law.
Typical recipients include: your insurer, broker, or loss adjuster (for insurance jobs); subcontractors and suppliers engaged to perform parts of the works; certifiers, engineers, and other regulated professionals; our accounting and IT providers operating under written confidentiality terms; and government agencies or courts where we are legally compelled to disclose.
Section 06
Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, and disclosure. Electronic records are stored on access-controlled systems hosted in Australia or with reputable providers that maintain equivalent protections. Paper records (such as signed contracts and site sketches) are kept in secure premises and securely destroyed once retention is no longer required by law.
Section 07
Your rights
Under Australian privacy law you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and obtain a copy of it
- Request correction of any information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, or misleading
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
- Make a complaint about how we have handled your personal information
Section 08
