Section 01
Purpose
This Code of Conduct sets the standards that everyone working for or on behalf of DreamCraft Projects Pty Ltd (ABN 28 684 036 888) is expected to meet — directors, employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and anyone else representing us on a site or in dealings with clients, insurers, and the public.
It is a statement of how we work, written in plain English. It does not replace the law, the contracts we sign, or our work-health-and-safety procedures — it sits alongside them.
Section 02
Who it applies to
This Code applies on every job, in every state we operate (NSW, QLD, VIC), and in every interaction undertaken in our name — on site, on the phone, by email, on social media, and in person. Subcontractors are expected to read this Code before commencing work and to comply with it as a condition of their engagement.
Section 03
Safety comes first
Nothing on any of our jobs is more important than people going home in the same condition they arrived. We comply with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and equivalent state legislation, and we operate to the standards set out in Safe Work Australia codes of practice.
- Site-specific Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) are prepared and signed off before high-risk construction work commences
- PPE appropriate to the task is worn at all times on site
- Hazards are identified, controlled, and recorded; unsafe conditions are stopped immediately and escalated
- Incidents and near-misses are reported promptly and investigated honestly
- No worker is penalised for raising a safety concern or refusing unsafe work
Section 04
Fair work and fair dealings
We comply with the Fair Work Act 2009 and applicable modern awards. Everyone working on our jobs is paid correctly and on time, works within lawful hours, and is treated with respect.
- No sham contracting — workers are engaged in the correct legal capacity for the work they do
- Wages, superannuation, leave, and entitlements are paid in full and on the dates required by law and contract
- Discrimination, harassment, bullying, and intimidation are not tolerated — by anyone, against anyone, for any reason
- Subcontractors are paid promptly in accordance with the terms agreed and the Security of Payment legislation in the relevant state
Section 05
Integrity with clients and insurers
Our reputation is built on doing what we said we would do, for the price we said we would do it for, to the standard we said we would do it to. We never recover that reputation if we sacrifice it for a short-term gain.
- Quotes and scopes are honest, specific, and based on what the job actually requires
- Variations are raised and approved in writing before the work is performed
- Insurance claim work is documented thoroughly and billed only for work performed
- We do not offer or accept inducements (cash, gifts, or favours) to win or direct work
- Conflicts of interest are disclosed in writing as soon as they arise
Section 06
Modern slavery and supply chain
We acknowledge the requirements and intent of the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth). While we are not currently above the reporting threshold, we apply its standards by choice. We use Australian-based subcontractors and source materials through reputable, traceable suppliers wherever practicable.
- We do not engage workers under conditions of forced labour, debt bondage, or coercion
- Subcontractors are expected to comply with the same standards within their own supply chains
- Any credible concern about exploitation in our supply chain is investigated and acted on
Section 07
Site, property, and environment
Most of our jobs are on someone's home or workplace. We treat the property and the people in it with the care we would expect on our own.
- Sites are kept tidy and safe at the end of every working day
- Materials are sorted and recycled where local infrastructure allows; hazardous materials (asbestos, lead paint, treated timbers) are removed only by licensed operators and disposed of at licensed facilities
- Noise, dust, and access disruption are managed and communicated in advance where possible
- Neighbours and bystanders are treated courteously
Section 08
Privacy and confidentiality
Building work exposes us to private information about our clients — their homes, their finances, their insurance situations, sometimes their personal circumstances. We treat that information as confidential. Our full information-handling commitments are set out in our Privacy Policy.
Section 09
Raising a concern
If you believe this Code has been breached on one of our sites, or in any of our dealings, please tell us. We would rather hear about it and fix it than be told about it after the fact by someone else.
Contact Anas Alqaisi directly at anas@dreamcraftprojects.net, or write to admin@dreamcraftprojects.net. Concerns raised in good faith will be treated confidentially and will not result in retaliation.
Section 10
Review
This Code is reviewed periodically and whenever there is a material change to our operations or to the legislation it references. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
